Schiltigheim, at the gates of Strasbourg

Tonight, the room is yours

A 77-inch screen, a Bose soundbar, the popcorn machine already warming up, and a queen size bed three metres from the screen. You do not drive home after the film: you are already there.

The idea

A cinema room, not a living room with a television

The difference comes down to three things: what you see, what you hear, and being able to fall asleep where you watched. The screen takes up the wall, the sound fills the room, the curtains shut out the street. When the credits roll, the bed is right behind you.

01

You see

A 77-inch Samsung flat screen on a backlit slatted wood wall, at the right distance from the armchairs. Blackout curtains close the room off in broad daylight.

02

You hear

A Bose soundbar settles the matter: dialogue stays clear when the score swells, and you feel the bass in the armchair without waking the building.

03

You stay

A 160 queen size bed with premium bedding, air conditioning, a modern bathroom. The screening does not end with a drive home.

The room after dark: curtains drawn, indirect lighting behind the slats and the neon sign lit

The room

The home cinema, in detail

What separates a large television from a cinema room: the size of the image relative to the viewing distance, the quality of the sound, and the darkness you can achieve in the middle of the day.

Before you book

What people ask us

How many people does the flat sleep?

Two, no more. The bed is a 160 queen size and there is no extra bed. Outside visitors are not allowed.

What can you watch on the screen?

The Samsung television gives access to the usual streaming apps. You sign in with your own accounts for the length of your stay: we do not provide a subscription. Remember to sign out before you leave.

Is the popcorn provided?

The popcorn machine is in the flat, with everything needed to run it during your stay. Kernels and supplies are restocked before every arrival.

How does check-in work?

By key box, on your own, from 5 pm and at any hour after that. Access instructions arrive the day before by email and message. Check-out is by 11 am.

Are the minibar drinks included?

No. The minibar is stocked with drinks that are charged separately; the price list is displayed next to it in the flat. Water, Senseo coffee and tea, on the other hand, are provided at no extra cost.

Can you stay a single night?

Yes. The minimum stay is one night, including on weekdays. That is the most common booking: a film evening, one night on site, departure the next morning.
